Proxytunnel 1.9.0 released

Proxytunnel 1.9.0 has been released just after the Fosdem 2008 conference. There are quite a few fixes in this release, and the RELNOTES file contains some important info for upgraders.

ProxyTunnel Authors and License

Authors

Proxytunnel was originally written by Jos Visser (The Muppet), and tested and enhanced by Mark Janssen. We both use it extensively to access our home-servers from closed company lan's (where we have only HTTP(S) access), and it has been succesfully used on Linux and Win32(using Cygwin) using OpenSSH 2.5 and newer.

Jos Visser

Jos Visser (a.k.a. The Muppet) is a prominent Unix Guru in The Netherlands and beyond. Besides programming he frequents Unix conferences and events. He mostly does his work for OSP.nl

Mark Janssen

Mark Janssen (a.k.a. Maniac) is a unix administrator working for Syconos.nl. He met up with Jos at a customer (BigAcme Corp) where they both developed ProxyTunnel to access their mail and shells :)

Proxytunnel is covered by the GNU GPL license. The previous version included some non-gpl code, which has been removed and replaced by GPL code. The code Jos and Mark wrote has been reassigned under the GPL. The base64 code snippet came with this copyright notice:
